“Witness to a brand with business ethics, and let your brand affect millions of people” ——CCTV Outlook Quality Programe is the first documentary programe in China dedicated to stories behind the growth of a good enterprise, product and brand. It testifies to the conscience of an enterprise, gives consumers a good choice, and sets an example for the industry .
Built in Jun 1964, Taihu Boiler is now a over 50 year old plant.
We’re one of the first enterprises to be granted a boiler manufacture license, and now hold Manufacture Licenses of Special Equipment People’s Republic of China for A-class Boilers and A2 Pressure Vessels, Installation, Alteration, Repair & Maintenance License of Special Equipment Peoples’ Republic of China for Class 1 Boilers, Pressure Piping Installation License (GB2, GC2 and GC3), Certificate of Authorization to use stamp “U” and “S” of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) for manufacture of boiler and pressure vessel, and Factory Approval Certificate issued by Bureau Veritas.
We’re equipped with various special boiler and pressure vessel manufacturing equipment, incl. large bending rolls imported from Italy, oil press, NC plasma cutter, automatic NC drum and header drilling machine, automatic SAW welding machine, automatic all position tube sheet-tube welding (GTAW) machine, membrane wall product line, economizer and superheater (coiled) tube product lines, heat treatment furnace, etc.
Since the issuance of National Enterprise of Secondary Scale in 1989, we’ve won many awards, such as Star Enterprise of Wuxi, Star Enterprise of Jiangsu, Role Model in both Material and Cultural Progress, Role Model in Ethical and Cultural Progress, Star Enterprise of China, Star Enterprise of Machinery Industry, Key High and New Technology Enterprise of China Torch Program, Well-known Trademark of Jiangsu, High and New Technology Enterprise of Jiangsu, Contract Abiding & Trustworthy Enterprise, AAA Credit Rating Enterprise, Top 500 Machinery Enterprise of China, China’s 500 Most Valuable Brands and Most Influential Industrial Boiler Brand of China, tier 1 supplier of CNPC, Sinopec and CNOOC, and UN’s Scientific & Technological Star of Invention & Innovation. Moreover, in 1999 we were awarded “Top 10 High Boiler Quality Enterprise” in a spot check jointly organized by The State Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision, State Administration for Industry and Commerce and National Bureau of Statistics. In Sep 2007 and Dec 2010, we won in succession “Quality Prize of Jiangsu”.
In early 2011 we were certified as one of the first “AAA Credit Rating Enterprises” passing strict examination by China Electrical Equipment Industry Association.
In Apr 2012, we were awarded “Modern Management Enterprise” by China Machinery Enterprise Management Association.
Our products have been sold to 29 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China, and earned us a good reputation especially in Northeast, North and Northwest China, where our market share exceeds 30%.
Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant, Capital Iron and Steel, Tsingtao Beer, Shenzhen South Pharmaceutical, Tianjin Smith Kline & French Laboratorles Ltd., Coca Cola, Uni-President, Yili Dairy, Mengniu Dairy, Beijing Sanyuan Foods, Huiyuan Juice, etc., and central or local government offices at all levels, judicial and educational entities and armies are all our users.
Our products have also been sold to Southeast Asia, Africa and Europe, and we’ve established sales offices in Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam.
During the past 50 years, we’ve transformed from planned economy to joint stock system and now to a private innovative research and development enterprise. Daojun Lu, our president, has watched the growth of our company like a father. He has high expectation for the enterprise, saying “Boiler industry never sees its sunset. It is always developing.”
“The reason why our company has made such achievements is “develop boiler, but not only boiler”. We’ve developed a great variety of boilers over the past years, and still have a long journey to take. The road of development is endless.”, said Daojun Lu, who is now 75 years old and yet still quick-eared and sharp-eyed. He stated that he ran the company more for the employees, and hoped they had their own stuff. “The new generation bring new ideas and new thoughts, while the older have rich experience and the right attitude. Only by learning from each other can an enterprise keep moving during an era of rapid changes.”
Our current main product, heat recovery steam generators (HRSG), is our answer to boiler industry transformation. HRSG first came into our sight as a result of the government’s energy control. Now we’ve had our share in the petrochemical, ferroalloy, coking and cement industries, etc., and especially in the ferroalloy industry our market share has reached over 70%. Technical requirements for HRSG are usually high as exhaust gas alone varies a lot. We not only develop products on our own, but also send engineering and technical personnel abroad, especially to western countries who have advanced heat recovery technologies for investigation and communication.

The inscription was written by former Prime Minister Li Peng when he visited our company in 1990. The sign has now stood there for over 20 years. These few words encourage us to move on like a monument, reminding us to keep modest when achieving success. In the future we would continue to adhere to the philosophy of turning creativity into leading products and service and bringing our users the highest value, and follow the path of green and low carbon development so that we may become a famous enterprise in this industry and eventually an industry management center with our advanced technology, distinctive products and unique management style.
