As the alarm was raised abruptly at 3:30pm, the drill began. Imagining a scenario where fire suddenly breaks out in an office on the 4th floor of a building and heavy smoke is spreading rapidly over the corridor, our employees reacted quickly hearing the alarm. They covered their mouths and noses with wet towels, bent down, and escaped quickly and in an orderly manner following the planned route to a safe palce. In a few minutes all of them escaped to the square outside, and managers of each dept. counted at once the number of people present and reported to the leader.
Afterwards our safety officer Wenda Xu explained in detail “10 emergency escape methods in a fire accident” and the correct way to use a extinguisher and hydrant, and led them to practice putting out a fire.
The manager of technical equipment dept., Fengwei Qian, explained to our employees general points for attention when using an elevator and emergency operations and skills to save themselves during an elevator accident.
After the drill our leader made a summary saying that the drill not only proved the feasibility and effectiveness of our emergency plan against a fire accident, but also improved effectively all employees’ awareness of fire safety and ability to deal with an emergency. He also stated that the drill showed that our company stuck to the safe production policy of “safety first, precaution foremost, and comprehensive handling” and established firmly the philosophy of “life foremost and safety first”, ensuring effectively safe production of our company and personal and property safety of our employees.
