Jiangsu Taihu Boiler Co., Ltd. is a national high technology enterprise, and one of the first enterprises to receive a boiler manufacture license issued by Ministry of Machinery Industry and Ministry of Labor and Personnel. It is certified as a “Top 500 Machinery Enterprise of China” by China Machinery Enterprise Management Association (CMEMA), and Taihu Brand is included in “Top 500 Most Valuable Brands of China” by World Brand Lab and certified as “Well-known Trademark” by State Administration for Industry and Commerce. In 2010 it passed the examination of Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security to become a “State Level Post-doctoral Programme ” Passing a strict examination by China Electrical Equipment Industry Association, it became in 2011 one of the first enterprises to receive a “AAA Credit Rating” certificate. In 2012 it was awarded the honorary title of “Modern Management Enterprise” by CMEMA. In 2016 we managed to receive ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 certificates.
In the past many years our company has achieved great success in cultural and ethical progress, and won multiple times the honor of “Role Model of Jiangsu”. Our achievement in this regard is unanimously recognized in the industry as well. In 2012 we were certified respectively as a “Role Model in Machinery Industry of China” by China Machinery Industry Federation and a “Role Model in Machinery Industry of Wuxi” by Wuxi Machinery Industry Federation.
1. Setting The Trend in Ethics and Prevailing Custom
Our management attaches great importance to cultural and ethical progress, including it on the agenda of important matters and making it a primary target. Sticking to the policy of “promoting both material and cultural and ethical progress” we keep enriching and building media of culture and ethics and improve construction of our enterprise culture to ensure that arrangements are made at the beginning of a year and a summary in the end, activities are organized now and then, and our work is productive. We’ve established specially a leading group to study the subject and make overall arrangements, designate someone to take sole charge of promotion of cultural and ethical progress, make annual plans based on actual situation, divide & assign to each level the target job, and analyze and solve in a timely manner difficulties and problems during the promotion. In this way we’ve made great cultural and ethical progress. The group also holds once in a while a liaison meeting to make and supervise implementation of spefific plans for the promotion and ensure our work is well understood, organized and implemented. The promotion of cultural and ethical progress facilitates our development of business, while high quality product and service underlies the promotion. Such close connection between the promotion and business achieves a win-win result.
2. Innovation of Service Management
To build a service management system with good cohesion and image and improve our service quality, we started duly a high quality service month program which was divided into four phases, i.e. learning and training, locating problems, complete overhaul, and summary. This program changed the philosophy of our customer service and sales personnel from fulfillment of their own routine duties to creative completion of work, and improved greatly their service consciousness. A great many models of service emerged from this program. They not only fulfilled their own work, but also volunteered for on-site commissioning. Moreover, they made after the commissioning a thorough summary in which a great deal of experience was collected for each department to draw on.
The program also helped us establish a good corporate/brand image among our customers. Specifically Beijing Tongniu commented, “ Taihu Boiler was considerate and thoughtful during installation, and offered their service enthusiastically and in a timely manner. We believe their products are satisfactory, trustworthy, and genuine famous & high quality energy saving equipment.” China Machinery Engineering Corporation said, “We’re impressed with the high quality, good appearance and stable performance of Taihu Boiler’s products.” Besides, we’re an excellent and qualified supplier of CNPC, Sinopec and Tsingtao Beer.
3. Cultural Progress and Communication
Well-organized “Lecture Room of Morality“. We’ve been organizing enthusiastically “Lecture Room of Morality“ which features enhancement of social morality, work ethics, household virtue and personal morals in strict accordance with the five step procedure. In 2017 we organized 12 activities, and a total of over 400 people were involved. We seek to enhance by means of moral education construction of such professional ethics as good faith and dedication, build actively enterprise culture with advanced moral ideas serving as its core, and improve comprehensive qualities of our employees.
During lecturing our employees not only learned good deeds of moral models, but also creatively recommended and learned from moral persons and good behaviour around us in the form of “sharing one’s own story or stories of those beside us for each other to learn from”. We also selected and commended role models at the end of a year to motivate them to learn from these models and endeavor to become a model themselves.
Well-organized Training. We sent regularly our high-level management to take part in fully closed trainings to improve their management level, invited lecturers of a professional training company to give our middle-level management and foremen training in execution and communication to improve their sense of reponsibility and working efficiency, and asked each department to held a pre-shift meeting to enhance moral education and professional skill training of our employees at the grass-roots level. We also invited lecturers of a professional consulting company to give our foremen training and our employees special education in career vision, work ethics, discipline and professional skills. Meanwhile, it also cultivated their good moral practice to learn Convention of Civilized Behaviors and Employee Manual of our company.
4. Ideological Progress and Public Service
Volunteering Service. We’ve built a volunteering service group with a total of 64 registered community volunteers of China and carried out various forms of service, for example arrangement of books for Kuangcun Middle School, guardrail cleaning and environment improvement, donation of winter clothes to Daocheng County, Ganzi Prefecture of Sichuan, weekly volunteering service in Luoshe Rest Home, “Star on Duty” campaign during which star level volunteering traffic service was demonstrated to advocate civilized travelling , and “Under the Same Blue Sky” campaign during which our volunteers registered with China Marrow Donor Program. We also organized our employees to participate in such activities as voluntary blood donation, contribution to financially difficult colleagues, and contribution to poverty-stricken students, carrying forward energetically the spirit of Leifeng.
Pairing-up Support. Concerned about growth of our juveniles we supported development of the “Little Dragon” Juvenile Palace of Luoshe Central Primary School. We became a base of after-school practice and activities for the palace, and our general manager Shihong Lu was engaged as a counsellor of after-school activities. We also donated a total of 150,000 CNY to local primary and middle schools to support poor students. Besdies, we paired up with Wuxi Taihu College and Nanjing Forestry University to build a base of employment, accepting their students as interns in our company every year.
Recreational and Sports Activities. Our mass organization organized frequently reading and learning activities and essay contests, basketball, football and table tennis matches, mounting climbing on the Double Ninth Festival, an evening party on the Lantern Festival, and patriotic education specially for cadre members of the Party. It also organized an internal welder contest to improve both theoretical knowledge and professional skills of our welders. All these various activities enhanced our cohesion, created a good soft environment, improved our ability of sustainable development, and promoted harmonious development of our enterprise.
