Chaired by Secretary of the General Party Branch Qiang Xiaomin, the 4th Session of the 3rd Trade Union Congress was held on Apr 28th. The 61 representatives present elected according to the Trade Union Law and Constitution of the Chinese Trade Unions the following new trade union members, Yang Dongxiao (chairman of our trade union), Qin Hua (director of the Women’s Working Committee), Huang Shengguo (director of the Economic Review Committee), Zhang Jian and Bao Zhigang.
Our president Wu Jianming elaborated in the session on trade union history and its influence upon enterprise development, and required and expected the new members to
1. fight for legitimate interests for our employees
2. lay a solid foundation for our enterprise development
3. provide training for our employees to improve their skills
4. supervise our management and watch out for loopholes and bad behavior
5. care for and cherish the disadvantaged employees to let them work with dignity
This successfully held sesssion showed that we always attached great importance to trade union influence, promoted fully democracy, protected legitimate interests of our employees, and gave an impulse to our enterprise development.
